A car burst into flames after hitting a pedestrian in Glasgow this afternoon.
Emergency services raced to the scene at Elder Park on Langlands Road in Govan at 3.15pm.
An eye witness said the motor ploughed into railings was well alight when the fire service arrived.
Pictures taken at the height of the blaze show thick black smoke belch from the vehicle as firefighters battled to bring it under control.

A police spokesman said: “We were made aware of a vehicle on fire after colliding with a pedestrian and railings at Elder Park, Langlands Road in Glasgow around 3.15pm on Saturday, December 24.
“One person has been taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
