Paramedics treated one person at the scene of a crash between a cyclist and a truck.
According to early reports from the scene, one person was seriously injured in the incident.
Emergency services were called to Boolaroo just before 7am on Friday July 3.
The crash occurred on T C Frith Avenue, between Second Street and Main Road/Munibung Road.
The road was closed in both directions while paramedics treated one person at the scene.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said a man in his 50s suffered suspected arm and leg injuries.
He was in a serious condition and was transported to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Police are expected to launch an investigation into the cause of the crash.
The road has since reopened to traffic.
