A Canadian actor has died after spending $220,000 on 12 surgeries in a bid to look like BTS' KPOP star Jimin.
Saint Von Colucci, died in hospital in South Korea on Sunday after suffering complications from jaw surgery.
He had been undergoing the procedures in a bid to play the musician for a series on a US streaming network.
It's said the star had gone into surgery on Saturday night to remove implants that had been placed in his jaw in November of last year.
It's reported he developed an infection due to the implants but complications during surgery meant he had to be intubated before he died hours later.
His publicist Eric Blake told MailOnline : "Its very tragic and very unfortunate."
Eric had been working with Saint for just over a year and said he had gone under the knife on 12 occasions during that time, including for operations such as a face lift, a nose job, implants, a lip reduction and a number of other surgeries.
Eric claimed his client was aware of the risks involved in the jaw implant surgery but still went ahead with the work.
He continued: "He was very insecure about his looks. He had a very square jawline and chin and he didn't like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide an wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have."
Saint had reportedly finished filming the Korean drama titled Cogimar, which translates to Pretty Lies.
He played one of the main characters and the series is set to air on a streaming network in October.
Eric said the actor first went to South Korea in 2019 in a bid to break into the music industry.
However, he is said to have believed he didn't make his breakthrough du to feeling "very discriminated against his Western looks".
