Can London’s first AI-powered personal trainer beat the real thing?

Sarah Finley tries an AI-powered personal trainer - (Sarah Finley)

A life-size avatar is counting down my first workout in an AI-powered strength training room. He’ll be my virtual trainer for the next 45 minutes, taking me through a series of strength-based exercises — ranging from squats to bicep curls, but without a dumbbell or barbell plate in sight.

I’m one of the first to test out Coachcube, London’s first AI-powered PT. It’s an interactive smart room with real-time AI coaching, digitally controlled resistance, and form tracking. But without the hefty cost of an actual PT; at around £12 a session, it's far cheaper than booking a personal trainer, especially in London.
