Activision has revealed all the details of the Call of Duty League 2026 season, and here’s everything you need to know, including all the participating teams, format, schedule, and more.
Call of Duty League 2026 brings back a 12‑team, city‑based franchised league competing on Black Ops 7 under a 4v4 format. Across the year, teams will battle through online qualifiers, international Majors and Minors, all awarding points that will decide which rosters make it to the final showdown—the CDL Championship Weekend.
A new competitive game mode joins, replacing Control, and with star‑studded line‑ups, defending champions OpTic Texas, and international challengers entering select events, CDL is set up as a key esports circuit for 2026.

Prior to the regular season opening, the teams competed at the Monster Launch Invitational, with OpTic Texas dominating the first Black Ops 7 tournament.
CDL 2026 format and game modes
For CDL 2026, each match will be played across three core modes: Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Overload. Overload is the new Black Ops 7 competitive mode, replacing Control. Series are structured as best‑of‑five maps, with mode‑specific maps forming the rotation for each stage of the season.
Since 2021, the Call of Duty League has used a 4v4 competitive format, and that structure continues into the 2026 season on BO7. You can check out our guide for all the CDL 2026 competitive settings, including maps, modes, and restricted items, which will also apply to Mutliplayer Ranked mode.
