Call for information on WW1 postcards found in roof of Stirling railway station

Stirling WW1 Mary Ann Network Rail

A treasure trove of WW1 postcards unearthed during work on Stirling railway station’s historic roof in 2021 is continuing to offer insight into the lives of men who served in local regiments.

Ahead of Armistice Day 2021, Network Rail shared the postcards publicly and asked for assistance from members of the public in a bid to uncover the stories of the men to whom the postcards were addressed.

In the year since, progress has been made in identifying and unearthing the stories behind these postcards.
