On the Los Angeles Chargers second drive of the game, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. injured his hip and is questionable to return.
Murphy seemed to have hurt his hip in a collision with Chargers tight end Gerald Everett. It was a heavy collision between the two and Murphy is significantly smaller than Everett.
Buy Vikings TicketsFox Sports’ Laura Okmin reported on the broadcast that he had been brought back to the locker room for evaluation. If he can’t go, look for rookie third-round pick Mekhi Blackmon to get more playing time in base defensive packages. Also look for the Vikings to use more big nickel.
