Busy Edinburgh pavement completely blocked by three cars in mass parking fail

A trio of Edinburgh parkers have been captured taking up the whole pavement on a busy local road.

The three cars, parked next to each other on Comiston Road, Morningside, sparked fury amongst locals.

The picture shows three different vehicles stationary and taking up the whole pavement, with passers-by having to walk onto the road or squeeze between the cars and the buildings.

The incident was captured by a local on Friday and it seems the busy Edinburgh road is no stranger to oblivious parking incidents during recent months.

With South Morningside Primary School being located just up the road from where the vehicles were left, locals were concerned children walking down the road or even disabled people with wheelchairs or buggies would have been greeted with a huge problem.

On the road next to where the cars stopped, it is marked with double yellow lines and there is no parking or loading permitted at any times.

The justification for all three cars parking ion the pavement outside a row of shops and businesses is unclear.

Scottish Greens Councillor for Morningside, Melanie Main, added her thoughts on the incident, saying: "Parking like this is not acceptable. I am looking into this incident to find out what can be learned to make sure pedestrians safety is not compromised."

Locals were also concerned it was also right next to a bus stop on the busy road, which may have been another potential issue that was caused by the dodgy parking.
