Burger King is giving away free Whoppers this Halloween to lucky 'ghost hunters'

Fast food chain Burger King will be giving away free Whoppers to lucky fans this Halloween period if they succeed in a rather spooky challenge. You could be in with a chance of winning one for yourself through the Burger King app which will now have a 'ghost hunting' feature.

Tantalising the taste buds of burger fans, the huge chain said: "To celebrate the spookiest season of the year, Burger King UK is offering ghost-hunters nationwide the chance to secure the iconic Whopper totally free… but only if they dare."

To take part, you need to download the Burger King app and check out the 'Home of Ghosts' feature which you can use to detect any 'ghosts' in your area.

If you are fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to hunt one down you can use this as proof to claim your free Whopper or Plant-based Whopper.

You can use this new feature by scanning your surroundings and if anything seemingly supernatural should come your way, the feature should detect it.

"Those who use the ‘Home of the Ghosts’ feature in the app and find a ghost lurking will automatically receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon on Whoppers – meaning they can grab the famous flame-grilled burger for themselves and one totally FREE of charge for their ghoulish friend", a Burger King spokesperson said.

There is plenty of time to get ghost hunting as the spooky offer will be available until November so you can go out and bag a free burger now. But you can only secure your tasty treat if you use the click-and-collect service via the app.

"Fans can choose from a flame-grilled Whopper or Plant-based Whopper whenever a ghost is near until the 1 November 2022 (23:59), so it’s time to get hunting," the chain clarified.

So if you feel a spooky presence around you before November then be sure to get onto the Burger King app as you might get yourself a free burger.
