If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a paranormal investigator, now’s your chance to shine.
Burger King is getting into the Halloween spirit by inviting customers to try out its app’s new “ghost-hunting” feature — and they may find more than just a spook.
Fast-food fans can use the app’s new “Home of the Ghost” feature to scan their surroundings for supernatural activity.
The app asks the ghost hunter to press the power button before walking around in search of ghouls.
An EMF meter will then hit 100 to alert the user that they’ve found a ghost.
Lucky — or unlucky — customers who spot a ghost in their vicinity will be able to claim a buy-one-get-one free coupon for Whoppers — one for them and one for their “ghoulish friend”.
The deal can be claimed by placing a click-and-collect order via the app and applies to both Whoppers and plant-based Whoppers.
Although Halloween takes place on October 31, the fun starts now at the burger chain. The deal is available from October 12 until November 1, meaning there’s plenty of time to get involved.
Burger King is a long-time fan of Halloween.
In previous years, the fast-food chain has served a Halloween Whopper featuring a spooky black bun, and Nightmare King featuring an unsettling green bun.
This year, in the US, Burger King is serving up the Ghost Pepper Whopper featuring a pumpkin-orange bun.
Although Burger King isn’t releasing any frightening food in the UK this year, the ghost-hunting feature is sure to get you in the Halloween spirit.
