The Cleveland Browns are anticipating rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. to be placed on the NFL’s Commissioner Exempt List, according to Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot.
This comes after the well-known news of his recent domestic violence charge. This will ultimately allow the NFL to gather more information on the situation while they come to an official decision on the length of suspension Hall may receive.
Browns fans are all too familiar with this process due to the accusations that were made against quarterback Deshaun Watson. The situation with Hall is not expected to take as long as Watson’s process and should come to a decision sooner rather than later.
During his hearing in Avon Municipal Court, Michael Hall pleaded not guilty to one charge of domestic violence. Any professional NFL player who is put on the Commissioner Exempt List is allowed to appeal this decision and request to be taken off.
The Browns front office is hoping to be informed of this decision by tomorrow’s roster cut-down deadline at 4 PM.
