Brooklyn Beckham has unveiled his new name and confirmed he's taken his bride Nicola Peltz 's surname in a modern twist following their fairy-tale wedding on Saturday.
The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, 23, married American billionaire heiress Nicola, also 23, in a star-studded £3million wedding extravaganza.
The pair said "I do" in a spectacular wedding ceremony at the Peltz family’s oceanfront home in Palm Beach - worth over £70 million - and today Brooklyn has shared a first look at the snaps provided by Vogue magazine.
He captioned the post: "Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham," appearing to confirm he had taken his new wife's name.
The chef decided to show his fully fledged commitment to his billionaire fiancé by incorporating her very famous surname into his own.
A source previously told The Sun Brooklyn was happy to incorporate his wife's name into his very famous moniker.
They said: "Brooklyn is head over heels for Nicola - it’s a huge sign of his commitment to her, and his love for her."
The practice of a bride assuming her husband’s name was birthed in a deeply patriarchal society, and is a tradition that has continued for centuries.
Like many modern couples, Brooklyn and Nicola appear to have opted to adopt a hybrid approach and bot take each other's names.
The couple's star-studded guest list of 300 people saw the likes of Gordon Ramsay in attendance with his family.
Tennis star Serena Williams was also among the attendees, as was actress Eva Longoria.
While Brooklyn and Nicola are clearly head over heels in love with each other, they are said to have took on board the advice of those closest to them and signed a pre-nup.
The Beckham family is said to be worth around £343million, while Nicola’s parents – American property mogul and investor Nelson Peltz, 69, and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, 67 – have a huge £1.2billion fortune.
Nicola and Brooklyn first went public with their budding relationship in November 2019 when pictures emerged of them hugging after attending a Halloween party together.
The pair took the next step to move in with each other at the Beckham's family home as the pandemic hit in March 2020.
And just eight months later they announced their engagement, with Brooklyn proposing with a $325,000 emerald and diamond ring.
