Britney Spears has left fans puzzled with a recent Instagram post featuring an apparent sketch of landmarks from Birmingham.
The American pop singer, 42, shared a picture of the image captioned: "Just a pen and church!"
The sketch appears to depict Birmingham's skyline, with St Martin's Church and Selfridges at the Bullring shopping centre visible in the background.
Commenting on the post, one fan expressed their confusion regarding the inclusion of the landmarks in the pop star's drawing.
They shared on X, formerly Twitter: "Britney Spears posting a sketch she did of the Bullring in Birmingham was not something I was ever expecting to see.”
“Why has Britney Spears posted a hand-drawn picture of Birmingham on her Instagram may I ask!?” another remarked.
A third quipped: “Britney Spears drawing the bullring in Birmingham has sent me to the moon.”
The Bullring posted the drawing on its Instagram account, alongside a real-life picture of the iconic sites. In a playful nod to one of her most famous songs, they captioned the post: “Sketch me baby one more time!”
Spears’ social media activity comes as it was announced that her ex-husband Sam Asghari will be joining the cast of The Traitors US.
The third season of the reality show, which is hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming, has a similar format to the BBC psychological series and is set in a Highlands castle, but features celebrities instead of members of the public.
Asghari, who was listed as an actor in the promotion for the upcoming installment, and Spears tied the knot at a star-studded ceremony at the US singer’s home in Los Angeles in June 2022 after meeting on the set of the Slumber Party music video in 2016.
Their wedding was attended by high-profile celebrities including Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton.
Asghari and Spears announced their split in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” in their court filings, and their divorce is reportedly set to be finalised later this year.
