Britney Spears’s husband Sam Asghari is hoping to be cast as a superhero in an upcoming Marvel film as he pivots his way towards a Hollywood career.
The 28-year-old personal trainer tied-the-knot with 40-year-old Britney earlier this month and is now said to be thinking of ways to become the breadwinner of the family.
Sam has already had small parts in a string of TV shows including Dollface and Hacks and also made an appearance in the 2019 film Can You Keep A Secret? which stetted Alexandra Daddario and Tyler Hoechlin.
According to reports, Sam has been sending in self-taped auditions to Marvel film bosses in the hopes of snatching a future role in the blockbuster film series.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Sam wants to play a positive role model for young Persian men, rather than the villains they are usually portrayed as.
“He has been working on his screen fighting skills and has upped his training in mixed martial arts and undertaken stunt classes.”
While Sam has been promoting the fact he is starring in a new film titled Hot Seat which is due out next month and stars controversial actor Mel Gibson along with Kevin Dillon and Shannen Doherty.
Highlighting the thriller on his Instagram, the actor wrote: “Get your popcorn ready. Get ready for some action,” while sharing the trailer for the budget-looking flick.
Last year, Sam revealed he had auditioned to star on hit HBO comedy And Just Like That – the sequel series to Sex and the City.
He complained on Instagram last December: "Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of Sex and the City, And Just Like That.
"Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role."
Fans were quick to note it seemed he was hinting at a character named Travis who was a physiotherapist who helped Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, deal with back pain.
The par was played by an actor named Ryan Cooper and made just one appearance in the 10 part first series of the show.
Meanwhile, wife Britney has sparked alarm among fans after she deleted her Instagram account after ranting against her family.
The star deactivated her account towards the end of last week – with one panicked fan asking online: "Omfg what is happening? #whereisbritney ? @britneyspears Instagram account was deactivated!!!!?????"
Another questioned: "Am I the only one that can't find britney spears account on instagram?"
The star removed herself from the photo and video sharing app just a week after tying-the-knot with her now husband – but fans can still see highlights from their big day on Sam's page as he has posted behind-the-scenes snaps from their wedding day.
