A Bristol company that manufactures realistic body parts for medical training has struck a multimillion-pound deal with a Northern Irish firm, it has announced. Limbs & Things, which is based in St Philips, has agreed to exclusively supply the medical simulator products of TruCorp in the UK, Canada, the US and Australia.
TruCorp said the partnership would give it the opportunity to expand its existing markets by using Limbs & Things' "well-established presence" in those regions. The two companies have been working together for the last 10 years.
Limbs & Things was founded in 1990 by Margot Cooper, who had a vision that clinical education should move away from cadavers and animals. She invented anatomically accurate models to help with the training of nurses, GPs, surgeons, radiologists and paramedics.
