Tottenham's summer transfer window success has continued after completing the signing of Djed Spence. Antonio Conte has already added Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet to his side, as he looks to strengthen ahead of the 2022/23 season.
And Spence has joined the incoming players after completing a move on a five-year deal for a fee of £12.5million rising to £20million with add-ons. Spence spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, from Middlesbrough, where he became a key part of Steve Cooper's promotion side. The 21-year-old made 41 Championship appearances and made seven goal contributions.
This earned the youngster a lot of deserved praise and saw him linked with various Premier League clubs, as he looks to continue developing his career. At the end of last month, Boro manager Chris Wilder gave an update on his defender's transfer status, handing Spurs fans hope.
