Nottingham Forest confirm Morgan Gibbs-White signing

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the City Ground and becomes Forest's 16th signing of the summer.

Head coach Steve Cooper has been chasing the attacking midfield player throughout the summer, having managed him at both Swansea City and England under-17s.

Gibbs-White joins for an initial fee of £25 million, potentially rising as high as £44.5 million with future add-ons. It comes after previous Forest attempts to sign him this summer.

Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis "took personal charge" of the transfer. He is close to super agent Jorge Mendes, who also has a strong working relationship with the hierarchy at Wolves.

Forest have confirmed that Gibbs-White will wear the number 10 shirt for the Reds. There was plenty of transfer speculation when the number was left vacant following a number of previous arrivals over the summer.
