Brazil, Portugal join France in round of 16

DOHA -- Five-time World Cup champion Brazil advanced to the knockout phase of the soccer tournament in Qatar along with Portugal on Monday.

They join Group D leader France, the defending champion and the first nation to advance, as the only teams with unblemished records through their first two matches.
