Detectives have charged a second teenager with murdering a 53-year-old man who was stabbed outside a supermarket.
Ian Kirwan, who worked as a software engineer contractor for Jaguar Land Rover, died after being injured near an Asda store in Redditch, Worcestershire, on March 8.
West Mercia Police said officers investigating the death charged a boy aged 15 with his murder on Friday morning.
The force said in a statement: “A 15-year-old male has been charged with murder and remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today.
“The charge relates to an incident on Jinnah Road on Tuesday 8 March that led to the death of 53-year-old Ian Kirwan from Redditch.
“A 14-year-old male charged with murder has already appeared at Worcester Crown Court.”
A further 10 youths were previously arrested in connection with Mr Kirwan’s death. Three of them have been bailed and seven released with no further action.
Officers continue to appeal for information from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and saw, or captured on dashcam, anything that could help inquiries.
In a statement issued a week after his death, relatives of Mr Kirwan paid tribute to him as “the warmest, kindest man” who loved his family and friends dearly.
