Edinburgh's Bonnie and Wild will launch a monthly ceilidh night in their establishment, after the "momentous" launch of its White Heather Ceilidh Club on Thursday evening.
Scotland's largest food and drinks venue danced the night away in St Jame's Quarter last night, and now they will make it a regular staple in their entertainment available in the capital.
Bonnie and Wild announced today that it will host a regular night of Scottish Highland dancing on the last Thursday of every month. Tickets for September’s ceilidh will be made available in the next few days.
Kate Russell, General Manager, said: “Last night was a momentous success. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Everyone was dancing, cheering and laughing. It was such a buzz.

"It was friendly and welcoming, and everything a good ceilidh should be. We’re already looking forward to the next one!”
Bandleader Charlie Kirkpatrick was taken aback by the dancers, with more than 100 on the floor at one time. Charlie added: "What a brilliant night. The atmosphere was electric, and all the dancers were fantastic and up for it from the get-go.
"Right from the very first tune, everyone was dancing, and it stayed like that for the rest of the night. It was great to see so much tartan, too. It all reminded me of the legendary Riverside nights in Glasgow we used to play.
"Perhaps the White Heather Ceilidh Club at Bonnie & Wild will become as big an institution as those nights. Let’s hope so!"
The Ceilidh Club has been inspired by iconic 1960's BBC show, White Heather Club, and the nights will remain free to all. 250 tickets for the launch night were mostly allocated well in advance but the next event will be made available to the public in the coming days.

Kate added: "As the nights evolve, expect to see our White Heather Ceilidh Club grow and grow. More space, more dancers, more tie-ins, and more collaborations with our fabulous concessions.
"We’ll also be doing bespoke cocktails for each night, perhaps with a nod to one of the many iconic dances. We really want this to grow and become a regular date in the Edinburgh diary."
The manager also added: "A massive thank you to Charlie Kirkpatrick and his band, and of course to the hundreds of guests and passers-by who took part and made the night such a success. And a big thank you too to all Bonnie & Wild and St James Quarter staff who helped to ensure everything ran smoothly.”
