Body found in search for missing young Glasgow doctor

A body has been found in Milngavie in the search for a missing young doctor.

Dr Sophie Johnstone vanished from the Partick area of the city at around 8.30am on Monday, November 21. The 35-year-old was last seen at her home address in Glasgow 's west end.

Officers have now confirmed that a body was found in an area near Baldernock Crescent in Milngavie at around 10.15am this morning. Formal identification has still to take place. Sophie's family have been informed of the discovery.
