A BMW driver was found with drugs and cash in his car after ramming into a police car and attempting to flee the scene. Police were following the 1 Series, through Rochdale, before the collision on Monday night (July 3).
Greater Manchester Police said the driver attempted to run away but was detained by officers just a short while later.
After searching the black BMW, police revealed they uncovered a large amount of cannabis and cash before the driver was arrested and taken into custody for drugs and driving offences.

Further details about the incident or why the driver was being followed have not been released. Police shared a picture of the car in question after it had been stopped by officers on a residential street.
A post shared by Greater Manchester Police Traffic on Monday night said: "BMW 1 series was pursued in @GMPRochdale this evening. Unable to get away the driver rammed our vehicle.
"He then attempted to run but was quickly detained. A search of the car located a large amount of cannabis and cash. The driver was arrested for drugs and driving offences."
