Best pore vacuums tried and tested: Can they give you flawless skin?

If there’s one thing our skin is collectively in dire need of, it’s almost definitely a cleanse.

Whether it’s courtesy of a cleanser, a facial or, indeed, a facial tool, nothing beats the squeaky clean feeling afforded by giving your skin a good scrub-a-dub-dub. Should you be looking to invest in one such tool that will result in such fresh skin for yourself, you ought to look no further than a pore vacuum.

If you’re scratching your head wondering what on earth a pore vacuum might be, we’ve got the lowdown. “Pore vacuums are devices used to cleanse pores, remove blackheads and clear dirt and debris that may be clogging pores,” says Dr. Paris Acharya, Aesthetic Doctor at London’s Waterhouse Young Clinic.

This, in turn, enables skincare to permeate deeper into the skin, which makes products more effacacious. So it comes as no surprise that these devices have become so popular - especially if TikTok is anything to go by. The #PoreVacuum has amassed 845.6 million views on the app with users sharing their experiences and methods of pore vacuuming. The result is dazzling – not least because their skin post-pore vacuum is, too.

These tools allow users to manually remove the more-than-skin-deep junk from their skin, resulting in glowing and radiant complexions. While the devices can make visible glowing differences in certain people’s skins, Dr. Acharya is clear that with certain products, a similar result can also be achieved. “I would advise cleansing with acids such as AHAs that work on the surface to brighten and BHAs that penetrate deeper to get rid of grime clogged in the pores,” she says. “Using non-comedogenic products helps reduce pores from becoming clogged.”

But if you’re looking for that satisfying suction, these are the devices that beauty editors and insiders alike swear by.

A glowing and utterly flawless face.
