There’s a different level of excitement surrounding the Minnesota Vikings as they wrapped up their final spring practice of the season at minicamp and departed for a well-deserved break.
The offense is responding well to coach Kevin O’Connell’s intricate schemes, and under the watchful eye of defensive coordinator Ed Donatell, the team might finally be on track to no longer being a defensive pushover.
No one has ever denied the Vikings’ talent, but there has been a failure to execute in key moments, which has ultimately contributed to the team missing the playoffs for the last two seasons.
Perhaps O’Connell, who won Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams, is the man to finally take them over the top.
We’ll have a better understanding of where the Vikings are at as a team when the pads come on at training camp in late July. That’s when we can really start singing their praises or signaling the alarm bells.
Here are the best photos from the team’s final week of spring practice.
