Best Netflix top 10 shows — top 3 series you need to binge-watch this week (June 2-8)

Netflix logo on a yellow orange background.

Finding something worth streaming on Netflix can feel like a challenge when there are so many options available. That's why we monitor the platform's trending charts every week and pick out the shows from the top 10 that we think are genuinely worth your time.

The idea is to help you spend less time browsing and more time watching. That's especially useful right now, as several popular Netflix originals have recently returned with new seasons and are climbing the charts. Below, you'll find my three recommended picks, as well as a full breakdown of the platform's top 10!

Note: This list is based on the Netflix U.S. top 10 shows as of Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Best shows in the Netflix top 10

‘The Four Seasons’

One of Netflix's best comedy-dramas is back for season 2. "The Four Seasons" is an original series that offers a modern, expanded take on the beloved 1981 movie of the same name, which was written and directed by Hollywood icon Alan Alda. The show is built around a simple but effective concept: each episode unfolds during a getaway, meaning viewers rarely see the characters in their everyday home lives or workplaces. That travel-focused format makes it especially fitting viewing for this time of year.

Set one year after Nick's death, season 2 follows Kate (Tina Fey), Jack (Will Forte), Danny (Colman Domingo), Claude (Marco Calvani), Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) and Ginny (Erika Henningsen) as they continue their tradition of seasonal vacations. Ginny adjusts to raising Nick's baby, and forms an unexpected bond with Anne. Danny and Claude face a difficult decision after a family emergency. Kate and Jack's marriage is tested as old tensions resurface during a trip to Italy. Meanwhile, Anne pursues a fresh start abroad, leading to an unexpected new relationship.

‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’

Based on Holly Jackson's massively popular novels, "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" is a British mystery thriller series that's perfect for binge-watchers. It embraces its cozy English country setting while gradually revealing a dark, creeping undercurrent of small-town paranoia and long-buried secrets. The show essentially functions as a highly addictive modern companion to series like “Veronica Mars” and “Cruel Summer,” making it a crowd-pleasing watch for both die-hard fans of the original books and mystery lovers alike.

After exposing the truth behind the Andie Bell case, Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) is determined to leave investigations behind and focus on school, her friends and her relationship with Ravi (Zain Iqbal). But when Jamie Reynolds (Eden H. Davies), the brother of her friend Connor (Jude Morgan-Collie) and a key witness in Max Hastings' (Henry Ashton) upcoming trial, suddenly disappears, Pip is pulled into another mystery. The search takes Pip far beyond Little Kilton's familiar streets.

'The Boroughs'

Netflix's best original series of the year (so far) has to be “The Boroughs,” a gripping sci-fi mystery drama executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, best known for “Stranger Things.” In fact, this new series feels more memorable and stronger than the final season of “Stranger Things.” Rather than centering its supernatural chaos around a group of teenagers, its standout choice is a veteran ensemble cast made up of well-known film and TV icons. I truly hope this series gets a season 2, because it’s just so good.

Set in a retirement community in the New Mexico desert, “The Boroughs” follows recently widowed engineer Sam Cooper (Alfred Molina) as he settles into what appears to be an idyllic place to spend his later years. After witnessing a terrifying creature emerge from a hidden tunnel beneath the neighborhood, Sam joins fellow residents Judy (Alfre Woodard), Renee (Geena Davis), Art (Clarke Peters) and Wally (Denis O'Hare) to investigate a series of strange incidents, unexplained disappearances and suspicious deaths.
