Today marks National Fish and Chip Day and we think that is cause for a takeaway treat tonight.
In anticipation of the big day, we asked readers earlier this week to tell us their favourite chippy in Belfast to see where are the most popular places to go.
With more than 700 comments making recommendations for Belfast takeaways and beyond, we narrowed it down to the Top 10 so the public could vote for their winner.

Whether they have the crispiest chips, the freshest fish or know a thing or two about a pasty bap, one thing is clear - Belfast has some serious fish and chip eateries to choose from.
Only one spot could be crowned the winner in our poll.
A total number of 502 votes were placed in our search for Belfast's Favourite Fish and Chip Shop and long-standing institution John Long's came out on top.
With a total of 118 votes, the famous chippy has been feeding the city since 1914.
We gave readers the option to choose 'Other' when voting in the poll and to give their recommendation - this option came in second place with 114 votes.
Hungry Hound 2 on the Ormeau Road was the most entered fish and chip shop to fall into that category with 41 votes.
Take a look at the full list of results:
- John Longs - 118
- Other - 114
- Supreme Chippy Sandy Row - 56
