Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tyler Boyd has put down the challenge ahead of Sunday night’s primetime game against the Buffalo Bills.
Speaking with reporters before that showdown, Boyd said the following, per Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network: “When we won the playoff game a couple of their players said if it wasn’t snowing they would’ve won. We here now.”
We can’t know what was said between players on the field or elsewhere after the Bengals beat the Bills 27-10 at home in the divisional round last year.
But one notable example of this actually came from former Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, who said that if the game featured no snow, it “would have been a totally different game.”
Maybe that’s all Boyd’s referring to here, but who knows? It’s not like either side needs any extra motivation heading into the rematch, which follows on the heels of last year’s regular season game that got called off and the playoff game mentioned.
Rest assured both locker rooms can probably use Boyd’s comments for motivation before Sunday night’s primetime showdown.
