An online fundraiser for an arson hit multi-cultural centre has raised almost £3,000 in less than a day.
Amnesty International Northern Ireland Programme Director Patrick Corrigan started the ‘Crowdfunding’ page on Saturday with the aim of raising £5,000.
The money will go towards helping the Belfast Multi-Cultural Association, on Donegall Pass in South Belfast, after it was attacked in a suspected race hate motivated arson incident last week. The attack was the second arson incident at the centre and came just days after the group had finished repair work to the roof caused by the first attack.
