Brits have complained of “human poo” and “too many trees” on TripAdvisor reviews for a renowned beauty spot.
More often the Malvern Hills are described as stunning or beautiful with its rolling Worcestershire countryside that has long attracted visitors from far and wide.
Whilst the vast majority of visitors go away happy, with their reviews reflected in the countless five star reviews and awards, not everyone has been quite as impressed.
A small majority have had a number of complaints for the beauty spot from the disgusting to the ridiculous, BirminghamLive reported.
Reviewers bemoaned “piles of human poo”, complained it had a "weird vibe" and others were left unhappy at there being too many trees.
One review said: "Castlemorton, Golden Valley, and Gullet Quarry are not good places to visit. The commons are covered in sheep and cow poo.
"There are not any public facilities so there are also piles of human poo. Dreadful place to go if you have kids as they are liable to get covered in it unless you watch them all the time."
Another reviewer was furious the hills were 'overgrown' with trees.
The review on Tripadvisor said: "Not for the retired. Was excellent for vistas but it become overgrown with trees. Should be named Malvern Forest not Great Malvern."
Another reviewer said: "Well after thinking it was a nice idea to go for a walk on the hills we were shocked to find how icy the paths were! No one had salted the paths at all!"
One particularly angry visitor went as far as saying others should avoid the Malvern Hills completely.
They said: "Those running the hills have all but killed the cycling on the hills by almost forcing mountain bike routes that are very tame, sterile, and uninteresting upon those of us that choose to enjoy the beautiful views on two wheels.
"They have created three routes - none of which are particularly good and don't give you the best outlooks on the hills. My advice is don't bother spending money on the parking or supporting local business and go elsewhere instead."
The reviews on Google are arguably even more strange, with one saying the Malvern Hills were "To hilly (sic)".
Another one-star review simply said: "Weird vibe."
The Malvern Hills Trust, which manages the area, would not comment on the reviews.
