Platinum Party at the Palace viewers were in tears after Queen Elizabeth II made an appearance.
The star-studded bash was broadcast on BBC One tonight from Buckingham Palace. The event featured performances from acts such as Craig David and Sam Ryder as the nation paid tribute to her Majesty as she celebrates 70 years on the throne.
The 96-year-old monarch was unable to attend the show after she suffered experienced "some discomfort" during the first day of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. However, the Queen delighted viewers as she made a surprise appearance in a comedy sketch alongside Paddington Bear.

The pre-recorded sequence featured the British institutions engage in a hilarious exchange as The Queen revealed she shares Paddington's love of marmalade sandwiches and keeps an emergency stash in her trademark handbag. The pair then tapped out the tune of We Will Rock You on a teacup to set the rhythm before Queen and Adam Lambert's opening performance.
Viewers following the show on Twitter were in tears after the comedy sketch.
