BBC Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones was forced to interrupt a segment that aired on Thursday, November 17 to apologise to viewers. The Welsh host was discussing the health headlines with Dr Oscar Duke when the medical expert dropped a swear word into conversation.
The guest was there to sort fact from fiction. "So first up, junk food is as harmful as cigarettes... I mean that's quite shocking," Gethin's co-presenter Samantha Quek said.
Oscar then explained that ultra-processed foods have an addictive nature like cigarettes and alcohol, before sharing that he recently ate four doughnuts in one sitting. Bizarrely, the conversation then moved onto the popular BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.
