Ieshaan Sehgaal was last seen on Bigg Boss 15 and has been missing from the small screen since then. Talking to us about being away from showbiz. Ieshaan said, “I’ve been in Dubai for the past few months. After I did Bigg Boss, I was getting many offers on various platforms and was looking forward to those projects. A big Bollywood movie, too, came my way. When I was selected, I felt on top of the world. I started working on myself and my character; I did that for around three months, for which I came to Dubai. I thought that living here alone and focusing on my craft would help me perform better. But suddenly I got a call from the production house one day saying that they were taking somebody else for the role.”
Talking about how disappointed he was, Ieshaan says, “I didn’t know what to do. I stayed back in Dubai, away from friends and family, because I was really upset. I felt so lost, and it took a lot to get myself up again and move on. I wasn’t depressed, but I was disappointed because it had taken a lot of my time and energy. I had given up a other projects for this film, so I lost out on a lot of work. But I believe in my craft and myself,
so I didn’t let this shake my belief.”
Meanwhile, Ieshaan has got back to work again and has shot a music video. He’s also started auditioning for projects. He had started his career with shows like Zindagi-U-Turn and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. So, is he looking at getting back to TV? “I started with TV shows, but currently I am more focused on films and exploring other mediums. After getting a big film and losing it, I want to try even harder. On TV, sometimes, the storyline is repetitive. But if I get something different that interests me, I will do it,” he says.
