A Dublin dermatologist has warmed people not to take a “very, very dangerous” tanning drug that is being promoted by social media influencers.
Consultant Dermatologist Professor Catriona Ryan has said that there has been a surge in the use of nasal sprays containing the “Barbie drug” melanotan.
Social media influencers have been pushing the illegal tanning aid to their followers in recent months - even though it has some potentially fatal side effects.
