Ballerina jailed for 12 years in Russia after donating £40 to Ukraine charity

A Russian-American ballerina has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in Russia after being found guilty of treason for donating around £40 to a charity supporting Ukraine.

Ksenia Karelina, who lives in Los Angeles, California, pleaded guilty at her closed trial in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg on Thursday.
