- Flash floods in northern Nepal have left at least four people missing and destroyed three bridges alongside dozens of homes.
- The flooding along the Budhi Gandaki River was reportedly triggered when a large landslide blocked a tributary before releasing a torrent of water downstream.
- Nepali army search-and-rescue teams have been deployed by air and land, successfully airlifting six individuals from high-risk areas.
- Authorities have issued urgent evacuation warnings to residents along the riverbanks, extending downstream towards Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts.
- The disaster comes as Nepal continues to recover from catastrophic floods in August that killed more than 1,400 people and caused $4.7bn in damage.
