The heartbroken family of Ashley Dale were followed by close friends as they carried her coffin into the Anglican Cathedral.
The funeral for the 28-year-old "rising star," who was killed after a gunman shot her in her own home in late August, is being held today at the Anglican Cathedral. Hundreds of people watched this morning as Ms Dale's family carried her white coffin into the cathedral.
ECHO reporter Jonathan Humphries captured the heartbreaking moment as she was carried into the cathedral, with mourners in total silence. As mourning crowds were gathering before the funeral, Reverend Canon Juliet Stephenson called Ashley a "vibrant, beautiful young woman."
