NEW DELHI: Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, set to host five matches during the upcoming ODI World Cup in October-November, is undergoing a significant renovation worth Rs 20-25 crore. The move comes after criticism was directed at the venue earlier this year for its lack of basic hygiene, particularly in the washrooms.
Following a Gap assessment conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April, it was revealed that Delhi, along with Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Mohali, required substantial upgrades. However, Mohali did not make the final list of ten World Cup venues announced on Tuesday.
