Arsenal's summer is coming along nicely, with a number of early additions to the squad along with a strong showing in pre-season. Five new players have come through the door so far, adding both quality and depth to Mikel Arteta's playing options.
The side are five games deep into their preparation for the upcoming campaign too, winning all of them so far. Sevilla in the Emirates Cup final could put the icing on the cake next Saturday, with the start of the Premier League season beginning with a trip to south London to face Crystal Palace on August 5.
A real statement victory in pre-season came against London rivals Chelsea on Sunday in America. The Gunners put four goals past the Blues in a dominant 4-0 win to continue the excitement surrounding Arteta's men going into next season.

Despite the win, the Spaniard wanted to temper expectations, saying afterwards: "Yes [fans should be excited], but it was a friendly match. As you could see there are a lot of positives to take from the game. The way we played, the intensity we showed, the way we were trying to show who we are as a team. But at the same time, it’s just a test match. Don’t get carried away.
"There are still a lot of things that we have to get better at and do better. But I think it’s good to get some momentum, finish the tour in the right way, give some enjoyment to our fans and everybody that’s been contributing to make this tour happen. Now it’s time to go back to London, to focus and keep making improvements and steps forwards."
One addition who has had a strong showing so far is Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian joined the club from Manchester City for around £45million, hoping to solve the striker issue within the squad.
The 25-year-old scored yet again on Sunday and took to Instagram to say: "Well played, guys! Feeling at home."
There were plenty of comments of praise for Jesus, including one from midfielder and compatriot Arthur Melo, who simply replied with a clapping hands emoji. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, having previously been of interest back in January.
The Juventus midfielder is said to be free to leave the side this summer, and football.london understands that a central midfielder is high on the list of transfer targets in the remaining weeks of the window.
