Arsenal’s final five fixtures compared to Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have had a near perfect week in their battle for the top four this season. While the Gunners lost all three of their matches on return from the international break, victories over Chelsea and Manchester United have seen them rise back to fourth.

Favours from other clubs, such as Brentford and Brighton, have also helped their case as North London rivals Spurs dropped points and currently sit fifth. Arteta had his say on the top four race after the United win: "Today what was decisive is when you are 2-0 up and have total control of the game Ronaldo comes in out of nothing when he’s with Gabi and he manages to score the goal, then I think no one in this room would say we would win with Granit scoring from outside the box.

"This is the beauty of this game. I don’t control these things and I’m not trying to control them. But what I see is a team that is so willing, that gives the energy. The cohesion that they have in that stadium is phenomenal and it gives them a chance and it makes me believe we can do it."
