Arsenal have revived their interest in Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, according to reports. It comes after the Brazilian was linked with a move back in January, though it never materialised.
The former Barcelona man could be another addition to the growing number of new faces at the Emirates Stadium next season. Mikel Arteta has already made quick work of the opening four weeks of the transfer window, adding four players to his squad.
The spending has reached roughly £80million at this stage, but it could soon pass into nine figures. That’s because an agreement has been reached with Manchester City to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko for £30million.

The 25-year-old has often played left-back for the Citizens, and will provide plenty of cover for Kieran Tierney on that flank. That was a particular issue for Arteta last campaign when the Scotsman was injured.
However, the Ukraine international can also play in midfield, another problem area when it comes to quality depth. Despite that move though, it seems another midfield addition could be on the cards.
According to TuttomercatoWEB, the Gunners have revived interest in Juventus’ Arthur Melo. The 25-year-old was linked with a move back in January, though it never materialised.
Instead, no new players were added to the squad, something which the manager defended shortly after. He said back in February: “Edu and his team did a fantastic job and they continue to do that.
"We only want the best players and the best people in this club. When we are in a rush and the reasons are not right for getting a player into the club, we decide not to do it."
However, that lack of depth may have cost his side in the end, missing out on Champions League football at the final hurdle. The summer approach appears to be solving that problem, adding plenty of quality and depth throughout the squad.
