Arsenal player ratings vs Bournemouth as Saliba stars, Jesus excellent and Zinchenko good

Aaron Ramsdale: Barely had anything to do on the day, but made a good save when called upon. One slightly heart in the moment pass out, but in fairness he was illegally charged down. 7.

Ben White: An assist for the England defender who got forward far more than in previous games. Some good one-vs-one defending when needed, which was admittedly rare. 8.

William Saliba: The Frenchman had already won over the Arsenal fans in the first half with his new chant, but if it's possible his goal made them love him even more. Another really good display for Saliba. 9.

Gabriel: Was given a bit of a hand full to deal with by Kiefer Moore, but largely coped well. A few moments where he might have been more adventurous on the ball, but very solid nonetheless. 7.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: So good on the ball yet again, but this week his defending seemed to come up a notch as he was excellent when covering in transition. 8.

Thomas Partey: Solid at the base of the midfield. Hardly had anything to do defensively, but showed a few nice moments to ghost away from the opposition press. 7.

Granit Xhaka: Got forward a lot as we've become used to from the Swiss international. Serenaded for his performance with a new chant from the Arsenal fans who he has totally won over. 7.

Martin Odegaard: Two goals for the Norwegian who has been criticised for a lack of end product in the past. Deserved an assist too but VAR decided to spoil the fun with a marginal call. 8.

Bukayo Saka: Again slightly peripheral, even if he was involved in the build up to Odegaard's second. Still did his defensive duties well and worked hard for the team. 7.

Gabriel Jesus: His moment of individual brilliance broke the game open for Arsenal. Didn't stop with his intensity all match and showed a bit of fight when required. Unlucky not to get his goal by the finest of margins. 9

Gabriel Martinelli: Caused a lot of problems for the Bournemouth defence with his direct running. A fan in the crowd exclaimed 'blimey he's fast' during a mazy second half dribble, a mark of respect for how much of a problem the Brazilian was. 8.

SUBSTITUTES -

Emile Smith Rowe: Struggled to impact the game although was interesting that he was used in a central role instead of out wide. 6.

Eddie Nketiah: Linked up well with Jesus again. Had a chance to score but couldn't take it. 7.

Takehiro Tomiyasu: Defensively solid when brought on to defend a lead. Didn't have much to do though as the game was won. 7.

Kieran Tierney: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.
