Karl Hein: Worked a lot more than against Lyon and generally stood up well to Milan's early domination. Some nice and composed distribution from the back too. 7
Ben White: Looked nice and composed on the ball when playing from the back. He is an excellent asset when playing out from the back. Didn't look affected by his early exit from England duty. 7.
Rob Holding: Beaten somewhat easily by Origi and showed a few loose touches when in possession of the ball. Was a loud leading voice at the back though. 6.

Gabriel: Strong at the back up against some physical attention from the AC Milan forwards. Showed good composure when the Italians looked to press high. 7.
Kieran Tierney: Got forward well but in the final third his decision-making wasn't always the greatest. Some uncharacteristically poor cutbacks. 6.
Thomas Partey: Looked close to his best in the midfield. Gliding away from the press with composure, distributing well and keeping Arsenal ticking over. Could do with a little work on his long throw ins though. 7.
Albert Sambi Lokonga: Showed some good composure on the ball in the final third when he got forward. Not too influential in this first half though. 6.
Martin Odegaard: A rare loose pass in the first half, but that will be forgiven after the quality of his free kick that put Arsenal in front. The second one was a little more fortunate but Arteta will be very happy with his skipper. 8.
Fabio Vieira: Not as crucial to everything good as against Lyon, but this was partially due to the fact that Arsenal had to defend more than they did last week. Defended diligently, though and showed composure on the rare occasion that he did get in the final third to give Nelson the pass for his shot that deflected in. 7.
Eddie Nketiah: Did well to win the free kick from which Arsenal scored. The fact that Milan defenders looked to hack him down each time he got near the ball probably shows they were afraid of him. 7.
Reiss Nelson: One nice early run into the box and looked to have faded slightly after that before his shot deflected in off Odegaard to make it two/ 7.
