Argentina’s head coach Lionel Scaloni hailed the enduring genius of the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi on Wednesday moments after the 39-year-old played his last game for the national team.

“He is an inimitable footballer and I don’t think there will ever be anyone like him on the pitch after him," Scaloni said following Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Benin in Messi's farewell match.
