“What kind of a competitor would I be if I said no?” asked Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum in response to his being questioned about whether he believes his Celtics are ready to win it all in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
“I always believe in myself and believe in my teammates,” continued the St. Louis native in a recent interview with NBC Sports Boston. After having come within two wins of beating the dynastic Golden State Warriors in the 2023 NBA Finals, you have to believe that Boston thinks they are ready to finally hang Banner 18.
Particularly given the Celtics added veteran forward Danilo Gallinari and former Indiana Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon to virtually the same core that got them to within a stone’s throw of a championship.
