Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after three victims had their bank cards stolen from Morrisons in Rochdale. The thief, who officers believe uses distraction tactics, has been carrying out his crimes from the ATM machines outside the supermarket on Kingsway.
One elderly gentleman was distracted by the offender when his bank card was stolen earlier this month. Later, the card was used to withdraw £250 from an ATM at the Shell Eagle Service Station on Queensway, also in Rochdale.
Police said there are 'at least' two more victims had their cards stolen after the criminal used the same technique. Enquiries have been ongoing since early September, with the force now issuing images of a male, wearing a cap and face mask, they want to speak to as part of their ongoing investigation.
