Loved ones remembered 14-year-old Christian Angulo as "very sweet and so caring" as a fundraiser for the Georgia school shooting victim soared past its five-figure goal.

"He was a very good kid and very sweet and so caring," a GoFundMe organized by his sister, Lisette Angulo, read. "He was so loved by many. His loss was so sudden and unexpected. We are truly heartbroken. He really didn't deserve this."

The campaign raised more than $60,000 – double its initial $30,000 goal – in less than 24 hours.

Christian was among the four victims in Wednesday morning's mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.

Mason Schermerhorn, 14, Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, were also killed, when 14-year-old alleged gunman Colt Gray fired off several rounds from an AR-platform-style weapon, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Nine others were injured in the shooting.

It's unclear if the victims were targeted and a motive remains under investigation.

In a Wednesday press briefing, Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith called the deadly massacre "pure evil."

Barrow County schools will remain closed the rest of the week.
