The Netherlands international, who has been strongly linked with a move away from Spurs this month, has struggled this season, with injuries taking its toll on the winger.
However, Bergwijn returned to the Tottenham squad against Leicester City on Wednesday evening for the first time since Boxing Day and was introduced around 80 minutes into the clash at the King Power Stadium.
