Court adjourned for today
Before the court adjourned for the day, Justice Darryl Rangiah addressed the issue of sitting dates as the schedule has blown out.
“Well, the trial is behind schedule,” he said.
It was set down for the hearing of the evidence for five days. The matter is plainly not going to be finished within those five days.
He went on to say: “I will look at whether the remaining evidence can be completed next week after hearing tomorrow’s evidence.”
The remaining witnesses are the outgoing ABC content chief, Chris Oliver-Taylor, former ABC Radio Sydney manager Steve Ahern, ABC Radio Sydney’s content director, Elizabeth Green, and former chair Ita Buttrose.
Thanks for following along today.
The hearing will restart at 9.30am on Friday.

Court hears about meeting where Lattouf was terminated from role
Boncardo is now asking Spurway to recall what was said at the meeting at which Ahern told Lattouf she could not complete the Thursday and Friday shifts.
Spurway agrees that some of the content of the meeting was a surprise, and that after the meeting he told Lattouf privately that he was sorry.
Boncardo:
And Mr Ahern told Ms Lattouf that ‘you were asked not to post, and now you’ve breached the social media policy by posting the Human Rights Watch post’?
Spurway:
He may well have said that, but I can’t recall him saying that.
Boncardo:
Can I suggest to you that the first time you became aware that Ms Lattouf had posted on social media about Israel and the Gaza conflict was at the meeting?
Spurway:
Yes.
Spurway is then excused.
