Ant McPartlin falls over just minutes into Britain's Got Talent live semi-finals

Britain's Got Talent semi-finals started with a bang as Ant McPartlin suffered a fall just minutes into the live broadcast.

Ant was joined by co-host Declan Donnelly as they got the audience geared up for Diversity on stage to open Monday night's show, when the presenter fell down. Dec was stunned after noticing Ant's tumble and quickly asked if he was OK, and helped him back up to his feet while he laughed it off.

Simon Cowell quipped it was his "favourite opening ever", but kindly asked Ant if he was okay following his trip. "I'm fine," an embarrassed Ant replied. "Let's get on shall we?"

BGT returned for the first live semi-final on Monday night, which included two of the judges' golden buzzer acts. The Mirror reports that Gamal John, 36, wowed the judges in his audition with his rendition of James Brown classic It's A Man's Man's World.

New judge Bruno Tonioli was taken aback by the audition and pressed his gold buzzer to ensure the singer secured his slot in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile 27-year-old Musa Motha earned a special golden buzzer from the whole panel after wowing with his incredible dance routine.

The dancer, who in his audition explained that he had his leg amputated after being diagnosed with cancer, performed a stunning contemporary routine to Runnin’ (Lose It All) by Naughty Boy ft. Beyoncé & Arrow Benjamin.

“That was one of the most extraordinary auditions I think I’ve ever seen on this show. I’ve so much admiration for you, what you’ve been through," Alesha gushed.

While Bruno added at the time: "That was exceptional!”

Also competing in tonight's line-up was illusionist Enzo Weyne, ukelele musician and school teacher Abi Carter-Simpson, comedian Ichikawa Koikuchi, sunbed receptionist-turned-singer Amy Lou, the Parkour Collective and ballroom and Latin group United 2 Dance (KLA).
