A 2-year-old boy is dead, and his mother is hospitalised after what police in Frankfort, Illinois, are calling a domestic-related homicide, a case that has drawn immediate comparisons to the ongoing murder trial of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy.
Officers were called to a home on Brook Stone Court at around 4:04 pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026 for a report of an unresponsive child, according to the Frankfort Police Department. The boy was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, while his mother was found inside the home attempting to harm herself and was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
